Homeplug AV is a high-speed versio of the original Homeplug system, a fantastic way of networking parts of a building without having to run new wires, or bet upon the sometimes hit-and-miss reliability of Wireless networking. So long as the two locations are on the same mains phase, you can just plug one of these units in at each place, plug an ethetnet cable into each - and they will see each other! Max transmission speed is 200mbits with these Homeplug AV devices, and the range is typically 200m. You can use these btween PC and PC, between your broadband router and a PC, or between your router and a switch to connect two separate "wired" networks together. You can also use one to put a Wireless access point in a location where you have no ethernet cabling, to help spread WiFi signal around your office or house. The "Push" button on these units gives you instant SSL security for your network without having to use any management software. Built in QOS software proritieses multimedia datastreams, so your movie or music is not broken up when someone browses a web page!
